Obama Is a Liar

“‘Let me say it as simply as I can, “Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency,”’ Obama said during his first full day on the job.”

Got that?  Transparency. In this context, it means being open, allowing one’s actions to be seen and examined. This is what President Obama promised.

They entered a capital that had become a military encampment, with camo-wearing military police in Humvees and enough Army vehicles to make it look like a May Day parade on New York Avenue, where a bicyclist was killed Monday by a National Guard truck.

In the middle of it all was Obama — occupant of an office once informally known as “leader of the free world” — putting on a clinic for some of the world’s greatest dictators in how to circumvent a free press.

The only part of the summit, other than a post-meeting news conference, that was visible to the public was Obama’s eight-minute opening statement, which ended with the words: “I’m going to ask that we take a few moments to allow the press to exit before our first session.”

Yeah. Do you call that transparency? I don’t. No person being honest about it would. The article goes on to explain that the ushering out of the press after about two minutes, or sometimes substantially less, is regular practice with the Obama administration.

For some time now, I have been trying to give President Obama the benefit of the doubt. He could be, I thought, just so blinded by his good intentions and/or just so ignorant that he doesn’t grasp the true nature of what he is doing and what the consequences will be. But that increasingly seems not to be the case. Which means he knows what he doing and what the consequences will be. Basically, the man has what I call the Kane-Rhodes syndrome. He thinks the majority of the people are stupid and need to be manipulated into what he “knows” is best for them. He believes he needs to be in power and to have more power so that he can better manipulate and control people to get what he wants. He will never say this publicly. He would never admit to it if asked. Because achieving the goal of manipulating the people requires maintaining the facade of being the open, kindly, protector/spokesman for the people.

The saddest part of all this? So many people who should know better really are gullible enough to fall for it. They don’t see the con either because they cannot or because they will not. Obama could offer to sell them the Eiffel Tower, and they would believe it. He has already sold them a pile of excrement and called it chocolate. You know, the health care bill.

I would not personally credit the man with that much vision or ability. He is a puppet, a front man, a finger on the same hand that has pulled the strings of administrations past. America was craving something remarkably different from what it has been subjected to with these past administrations who have slowly increased federal power at the expense of the individual states. Someone who would pull us out of these wars fought for oil and strategic pipelines under the guise of fighting ‘terrorism’. In the last 20 years, we have seen nationalism start to border dangerously on Fascism. The ‘terrorist’ at large, the great unknown and unseen fear, has morphed into the ‘homegrown terrorist’. Meanwhile, individual rights are shrinking at an alarming rate, trillions of dollars have been siphoned from our national coffers, the toxic debts of banks and corporations have been sold with a smile to the little guy, and who do we get to lead us through this? Obama. He was hand picked for this job by Goldman and Sachs. His particular blackness is acceptable to many, his voice so soothing it matters not what he says or if he follows through on these matters. Yes, the man is a liar. But he is fed the lies, by someone else and paid to say them. Well paid at that. Meanwhile everyone stands around congratulating themselves on our social progress as a country by finally electing our first black president.
