Obama Talks Nonsense, Again

Posted in Government, In the News, Philosophy, Politics with tags , , , on January 29, 2014 by Xajow

I know. You are all wondering what I think of last night’s State of the Union address. From start to finish, Obama really shoveled the excrement in thick layers. I imagine the people present in the room with him at the time needed hip boots to get out safely. And yes, these comments should give you an idea of what I thought of the SOTU speech. If you dare, read on to see what else I have to say. Continue reading

The Real Problem with Obamacare

Hello students. Yes, I am finally back. Save your applause and celebrations for later. I know, you want more D/s discussions, and there will be some later. Right now, however, I am going to rant about explain what the true and fundamental problem with the ACA (Obamacare) is. All the usual warnings apply: I am libertarian, trust-in-government folks will be offended, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Every one prepared? Okay, let’s begin. Continue reading

Quick Bite: Just Stopping in to Criticize Obama

Posted in Government, Healthcare, In the News, Politics, Quick Bite with tags , , , , , on October 21, 2013 by Xajow

So after three weeks of sugarcoating, i.e. deliberately downplaying and possibly lying about, the massive failure that is healthcare.gov, President Obama gave a speech to tell people there was no sugarcoating it. Three weeks he took to get around to this. Yeah, real leadership there. (No, not really.) But then He also said this: “We waged this battle to make sure that millions of Americans in the wealthiest nation on Earth finally have the same chance to get the same security of affordable quality health care as anybody else.” The same as anybody else, except President Obama, Obama’s family, the U.S. Congress and congressional staff, i.e. the political class who think having Obamacare for themselves would be a bad idea. There is your leadership America. You should be ashamed.

Budget Deals, the Debt Ceiling and other Washington D.C. Nonsense

With some dismay I have watched the politicians in Washington bicker over the past several weeks. The Republican leadership wastes every opportunity to criticize the President and the Democrats. The President, the Democrats, and their apologists continue to say perfectly idiotic things. And all the while, all of them act amazed that anyone would dare find reason to criticize. Poll after poll shows dissatisfaction and lack of confidence in the POTUS and in Congress. Well, here is a clue folks: this is what you get for voting the “practical” politicians into office. Opaque Is the New Transparency

Posted in Government, Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , on October 10, 2013 by Xajow

When is a door not a door? When it’s ajar. Get it? When is transparency not transparency? When the Obama administration claims to be the most transparent administration in history. Get it? No? Well, that is okay. It is not really funny anyway. It’s more… creepy. Why would I say that? Well, read on, MacDuff, and I shall explain why. Continue reading

So Many Things to Yammer About

There are several news stories to give one cause for complaint. The gun control nuts annoying everyone again after the shootings at the Navy Yards. The racists who cannot handle a dark skinned woman winning the Miss America contest. Idiots bothering to commemorate the Occupy Wall Street protests as if there was something good about those protests. And a shockingly stupid PR campaign for the POTUS and his handling of Syria. So let’s calmly discuss these things in a fair and balanced… nah. I’m just going to give my opinions. Continue reading

So Many Things to Say

There are so many things to talk about. Politics, D/s issues, and a story or two to finish. But sometimes I have to choose between spending a few hours working on this site with spending those hours dealing with other matters in life. Sadly this blog has to be lower on the list of priorities and other things that are not nearly as much fun or interesting.

But take heart. I am here now, O readers. And I have things to say. So let us begin. Continue reading
